2017 Selection: A Tale for the Time Being by Ruth Ozeki

Major support for this program provided by Friends of Lake Forest Library

What is Lake forest Reads Ragdale?

Since 2012, Lake Forest Library has been presenting the Lake Forest Reads: Ragdale program. In partnership with the Ragdale Foundation, Lake Forest College and The Friends of Lake Forest Library, this program encourages the Lake Forest Community to read one book by a writer affiliated with Ragdale. The purpose of this is to foster literacy, a culture of reading, and a sense of community.

We encourage members of the community to read the book, host book discussions, and attend events sponsored by the program. In addition, the author, Ruth Ozeki will be here for a conversation on Thursday, October 26 at 7pm at Lake Forest College. Ms. Ozeki will also be the guest for a Tea and Talk at Ragdale Friday, October 27 at 10:00am. Later that Friday evening at 6:00 pm, Ms. Ozeki will lead a guided meditation, followed by a book signing at the Lake Forest Book Store.
